With a long-held dream of building a business rooted in values and excellence, he had written numerous business plans—but none of them passed his own rigorous tests. They lacked the purpose and sustainability he craved.

That changed when Jared’s wife, whose father came to Canada as a refugee and worked tirelessly as a janitor to support his family, gave him an idea that would shape his future: “Why not consider the janitorial industry?”

She reminded him of people like her father—new Canadians who came to this country in pursuit of the Canadian dream. Her father’s work ethic and commitment helped build a strong foundation for future generations. Today, all his children are thriving. Jared got to work. He interviewed dozens of janitorial business owners across North America. While each company had its own structure and model, one challenge kept surfacing again and again: “How do you find, train, and retain great people?”

Around the same time, Aaron Graham was visiting Canada and working at a summer camp for underprivileged children. Jared, who was managing a restaurant at the time, hired Aaron and was immediately impressed by his character. Aaron had an infectious charisma, a problem-solving mindset, and the rare ability to lead by example—supporting teammates, keeping customers happy, and always going the extra mile.

He also had something else: a willingness to do whatever it took to make the job perfect. Whether fixing broken equipment or mentoring staff, Aaron embodied excellence and humility. After working together at two different restaurant locations, Jared knew Aaron was the right partner.

He sat him down one day and said, “Aaron, I have a business I want to do with you.” Before Jared could even explain, Aaron smiled and said, “Count me in.”
